R50: Deadlock

Deadlock by Iris Johansen

Deadlock

I enjoyed this one.  I did get distracted by the name of the main male protagonist, John Garret, as  I am sure there is a similar name and role in a later series of her books but I could put that aside because I simply enjoyed a well rounded plot.  I enjoyed the elements of friendship, loyalty and love versus betrayal, grandiose ideas of godhood and greed driven senseless violence.

Definitely keep it and reap it or rather anything written by Johansen as she still impresses me, be it her old or newer books.

Author:

I was 46 years old when I begun this blog, female and married with a house full of cats (7). My past is littered with the impact of events that happened when I was a teen. Two loves of my life have been nursing and studying. I just completed my Master of Arts: Media Studies endorsement. My blog will be about the things I think about, that might be better served being written rather than squirreled away in my mind festering. It is the meanderings of my mind as I seek to define myself and my world.
