R27: Mean Streak

Mean Streak by Sandra Brown

This book surprised me because it just didn’t read like a Sandra Brown.  I have read and collected a lot of her books.  Mean Streak charmed me from start to finish, despite delving into topics including sibling rape, husband adultery and murderous best friends. Definitely containing a tale or two of redemption with a secret that Brown kept really well until near the end that just added to the overall charm.  I highly recommend this read.

Definitely reap it so I can keep it, mainly because this copy belongs to the library and the fees would soon outweigh just purchasing my own copy!   It is one of those comfort books that I would return to on a bad day to just crawl into and improve those moments.

I was 46 years old when I begun this blog, female and married with a house full of cats (7). My past is littered with the impact of events that happened when I was a teen. Two loves of my life have been nursing and studying. I just completed my Master of Arts: Media Studies endorsement. My blog will be about the things I think about, that might be better served being written rather than squirreled away in my mind festering. It is the meanderings of my mind as I seek to define myself and my world.
