Just Another Day

Our days our organized around numerous small actions we repeat over and over. What’s your favorite daily ritual?

I have to say it is working with my blog has become my favourite daily ritual.  I love writing creatively and the prompts really help with that.  They stir my imagination and my fingers just race across the keys.  I can find it harder to self start so to speak.  The prompts are also helping me change the tenses I write in and the point of views.  I have a favourite style that I rarely move out of and the prompts help me experiment.

I also love the access to other peoples writing that WordPress gives me.  I can access it on my phone and have reading moments on the run.  If I am at an appointment I can read the waiting time away quite happily.  It is a real treat to have this degree of access.  When I was growing up other people’s writing was no where near this accessible.  You could buy books but someone just writing their thoughts was not reachable.

I needed to make writing a ritual.  Even on the days that I don’t feel creative or even remotely in the mood to write, I do.  Not far into the writing I can find my passion and its back to racing fingers.  I was so close to losing my love of writing that I never want to feel like that again.  So this time, that I am in, right now, is part of my favourite daily routine.

Thanks to, you the reader and the writer, for sharing this time with me!

I was 46 years old when I begun this blog, female and married with a house full of cats (7). My past is littered with the impact of events that happened when I was a teen. Two loves of my life have been nursing and studying. I just completed my Master of Arts: Media Studies endorsement. My blog will be about the things I think about, that might be better served being written rather than squirreled away in my mind festering. It is the meanderings of my mind as I seek to define myself and my world.

  1. Writing as a daily ritual is good, and with prompts, as you say, there is always something to write about, to stretch our minds and pens.
I wish I was able to read more. Lately, it’s been hard to keep up with my writing, let alone visiting and reading elsewhere. I do miss that.
