Paving crazy

This is a flash fiction challenge (stories in 100-175 words or less) and each story should have a beginning, a middle, and an end. Therefore, no serial (continuation) stories. They become too complicated for our readers.

I know it was wrong but I was so envious of the stars who had put their hand prints on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  I didn’t do it for self-aggrandisement but to celebrate a community Jubilee.

I think it makes the driveway look more dignified and unique.

I only really “altered” one paving stone.

If we had had any paving work being done at our place I would have done it there but we weren’t.

This section of driveway just screamed at me to inset my tile.

It is mainly driven over because there is a separate side path for pedestrians.  So it is only noticed by those passing by and it doesn’t affect the function of the driveway.

I could keep justifying what I did but the bottom line is that I had a Jubilee tile left over from another job that I could inset here so I did.

I was 46 years old when I begun this blog, female and married with a house full of cats (7). My past is littered with the impact of events that happened when I was a teen. Two loves of my life have been nursing and studying. I just completed my Master of Arts: Media Studies endorsement. My blog will be about the things I think about, that might be better served being written rather than squirreled away in my mind festering. It is the meanderings of my mind as I seek to define myself and my world.
