R22: Stone Cold

Stone Cold by C J Box

I enjoyed this one as much as all the others.  It features the same characters and features Nate.  This is the 14th book in the Pickett series and definitely sets up the 15th book (Endangered) which I previewed earlier.  This one focussed on the plot of a rich man setting up his own fiefdom and how that became less about helping the people in that area to finding that he had replaced the Government aid.  But otherwise nothing really changed because it was about human nature.  Money changes the circumstances but not the basic nature of the people affected.  I find I learn about human nature and morality in reading Box’s books and that is an enjoyable bonus.

You can guess that this is a keep it and I will continue to reap this author.

I was 46 years old when I begun this blog, female and married with a house full of cats (7). My past is littered with the impact of events that happened when I was a teen. Two loves of my life have been nursing and studying. I just completed my Master of Arts: Media Studies endorsement. My blog will be about the things I think about, that might be better served being written rather than squirreled away in my mind festering. It is the meanderings of my mind as I seek to define myself and my world.

What do you think?
