Working woes and weekend chores

Day 12 —What is your favorite day of the week?

Author’s note:

This one just stumped me so I went for a poem.  I don’t really have a favourite day of the week. When I worked it was the days off with hubby but they weren’t the same ones each week.  Hope you enjoy it.

Working woes and weekend chores

Monday is the weeks first

To whet the work thirst

To start the week anew

On this day some get blue

Tuesday is the weeks second

Another morning beckoned

Making us rise way too early

Sinking in to becoming surly

Wednesday is the hump day

We can almost see our way

To the end of working purgatory

Ending the weeks tiring story

Thursday is the weeks next

Our imagination can flex

For the weekend is soon

We can party like a loon

Friday is cause for celebration

Able to finally leave our station

Two days of employment freedom

Early mornings! we don’t need them!

Saturday for the lawns and gardens

No more weeds get passing pardons

A beer later in the day to relax

Lay in the sun with music tracks

Sunday is the named day of rest

For some a feeling to be blessed

Peace and quiet will prevail

Until the next day to again travail

Author:

I was 46 years old when I begun this blog, female and married with a house full of cats (7). My past is littered with the impact of events that happened when I was a teen. Two loves of my life have been nursing and studying. I just completed my Master of Arts: Media Studies endorsement. My blog will be about the things I think about, that might be better served being written rather than squirreled away in my mind festering. It is the meanderings of my mind as I seek to define myself and my world.

What do you think?
