R16: Deserving Death

Deserving Death by Katherine Howell

This was a library pick.  Deserving Death explores the relationship between the police and the paramedics in the tension of the murders of two paramedics. The main protagonist is Detective Ella Marconi and she pursues the crime from one angle while paramedic Carly Martens approaches it from a different angle.

It is an enjoyable tale and each character is seeped in enough context that the story can stand alone.  There are also some realistic side stories attached to some of the characters that are interesting and add further depth to the overall flow of the novel.

If I had bought it, I might keep it but it isn’t one that I would hunt for my own collection. A good read but has stiff competition from other authors, so back on the library shelves it goes.

I was 46 years old when I begun this blog, female and married with a house full of cats (7). My past is littered with the impact of events that happened when I was a teen. Two loves of my life have been nursing and studying. I just completed my Master of Arts: Media Studies endorsement. My blog will be about the things I think about, that might be better served being written rather than squirreled away in my mind festering. It is the meanderings of my mind as I seek to define myself and my world.
