R15: Cold Wind

Cold Wind by C. J. Box

I confess I raided the Feilding Library for the Box books they had.  I have two more to read and some other great books that I will review with pleasure (I hope).  I am going to try to find new authors as well, broadening my reading material.  However, for the moment the genre is that of crime mainly.

The plot of this book can be summed in three words:  relationships with mother-in-laws. It is brilliant and a must read for anyone that has/had a “challenging” relationship with their in laws.  It will make what you have experienced seem simple in view of this one. The sub plot is an interesting foray into ranch land being harnessed for energy production, those who win and those who lose.

Another fast paced read that slots in before  Force of nature  which I reviewed earlier this month.  I like that Box keeps me guessing on the main plot line, so far he has managed to keep surprising me and I like that.  Definitely hunting this writer for my bookshelves and as usually this gains a keep it rating.

Author:

I was 46 years old when I begun this blog, female and married with a house full of cats (7). My past is littered with the impact of events that happened when I was a teen. Two loves of my life have been nursing and studying. I just completed my Master of Arts: Media Studies endorsement. My blog will be about the things I think about, that might be better served being written rather than squirreled away in my mind festering. It is the meanderings of my mind as I seek to define myself and my world.
