R12: Savage Run

Savage Run by C J Box

I confess this is the second eBook of the year and my third C J Box read.  Savage Run like the previous two, Force of nature and Open Season were consumed as fast as my eyes could read them.  This plot was similar to Open Season with the focus on Pickett and his game warden employment.  Pickett’s wife was given  a more prominent role and the dynamics of their relationship was further explored.

A new area of the landscape in his area of monitoring was explored and a secret society.  So while the plot was focussed on what Joe did for employment there was a new slant from the first book on it.  I enjoyed this as much as the other two and am strongly tempted to just keep eBook purchasing till I complete the set but I am going to control myself and hold the next Box book out as a treat for next month.

Definitely, Box continues to be both a Keep it and Reap it rating.  I love the characters and how their stories are shared with the reader.

Author:

I was 46 years old when I begun this blog, female and married with a house full of cats (7). My past is littered with the impact of events that happened when I was a teen. Two loves of my life have been nursing and studying. I just completed my Master of Arts: Media Studies endorsement. My blog will be about the things I think about, that might be better served being written rather than squirreled away in my mind festering. It is the meanderings of my mind as I seek to define myself and my world.
