R5: Force of Nature

Force of Nature by C. J.  Box

This is book 12 in the stories of Joe Pickett.  It features his lethal friend Nate Romanowski. This story is totally engaging.  There is information on Indian history, falconry and global politics including 9/11.  It is fast paced with aggressive violence feature throughout.

To say I enjoyed it is too mild.  Instead I will say I will be collecting books 1-12 and Box is now a favourite author of mine.   Every character introduction and back story fed and enhanced the story as a whole.  It in no way read like book 12.

Obviously this is a keep it and I am adding a third rating for new authors of reap it.  Which means I will collect this author from now on.
The Financial Times called Box’s writing style “muscular”, well Force of Nature has muscled in as a favourite read that I recommend highly.

Let me know what you think of this author.

I was 46 years old when I begun this blog, female and married with a house full of cats (7). My past is littered with the impact of events that happened when I was a teen. Two loves of my life have been nursing and studying. I just completed my Master of Arts: Media Studies endorsement. My blog will be about the things I think about, that might be better served being written rather than squirreled away in my mind festering. It is the meanderings of my mind as I seek to define myself and my world.
