My Writing Philosophy

I believe words are a form of freedom, to be arranged anyway that you wish.  If I am called a poet, then I feel guilty spending time on writing short stories.  Yet, many of my stories come to me as dreams that I refine and am attached to in both processes.  They fill my brain until I can give them form in writing.  I just like writing what and in the format that comes to mind for what I am writing.

My blog practically demonstrates what I believe a wordsmith to be.  It contains:

  • poems
  • societal commentary
  • short stories
  • ramblings from my life
  • photographs etc etc

With topics that range from:

  • society
  • my life
  • rape
  • mental illness
  • my life observations

There are many definitions of wordsmith but the one I like is:

wordsmith … noun
a skilled user of words.
– from the Google search word: wordsmith
It is simple and yet conveys so much.  It is who I see myself as, how my writing develops and I just love the word
I hope that answered the question for  Feel free to ask me anything about my posts and life and I will do my very best to answer.

I was 46 years old when I begun this blog, female and married with a house full of cats (7). My past is littered with the impact of events that happened when I was a teen. Two loves of my life have been nursing and studying. I just completed my Master of Arts: Media Studies endorsement. My blog will be about the things I think about, that might be better served being written rather than squirreled away in my mind festering. It is the meanderings of my mind as I seek to define myself and my world.

What do you think?
