We are made – not born

Background

This prose comes from my wealth of frustration in trying to reconnect my mind and body after years of my mind simply ignoring my body.

We are made – not born

On a set day the creatures make in their own image.  It is a day of wonder the melding of four species to create a single functioning one.  They strive for perfection but are often disappointed with their creations.  However, once created those imperfect are placed on the earth to live out their lives however they might chose.  The perfect are immediately elevated and work together to perfect the next creation day in the hopes of more perfect creations.

This is the story of one imperfect.  When the body was selected it was deemed female so the species that yielded the highest number of female bodies was called to duty.  The original body is able to be examined from, the so called birth to the death to ensure that its progression was as desired.  Perfect health evidenced in the perfect weight and absence of disease process.  The body was selected, examined and deemed functional.

The next species to be included was the providers of the mind.  This was a bit trickier as the mind had to both function autonomously and be able to listen to, and guide the body it was housed within.  Bargaining took days prior to the selected inclusion but after strenuous testing the body and mind were deemed both compatible and harmonious.  Good omens for a perfect creation.

The soul was an eccentric species and in many ways it was thought to be important but no one could define exactly how.  Overall, more perfects were built with the inclusion of a soul.  It is shameful to admit but this process was less than clinical.  As we entered the soul forest the collector nabbed the first one.  It is a part of the creation that we are reluctant to discuss for obvious reasons.

The fourth and final component is another that is marginal and far too “fluffy” for a lengthy discussion.  As we near the end of creation, spirits approach and one will choose to combine in the moments before the assembled creation is placed into infant stage and released to a ceremonial “birth”.

At last, the time of labeling occurs.  Is the creation perfect or imperfect? In this instance the female creation is imperfect and remains on the earth with the imperfect family created for this eventuality.  Evidencing her imperfection is that the mind and body are not coordinating at any level and it bodes ill for her lifespan.

Normally we do not dwell on the life of an imperfect but this one time we wanted insight into the difference in their development from that of a perfect.  Her problems began immediately, her mind failed to see signals from her body of pain or even pleasure.  It was simple to project that sooner or later she would suffer for this disconnect.

We watch over the years and then in her 40’s it happens.  Her body breaks through with pain and her mind has no choice but to listen and realise the extent of the resident damage neglect had caused.  Self help books and counselling seek to untangle the reasons for the disconnect and seek to both mend that and the residual damage.

We continue to watch her struggle to connect all the parts of herself.  This creation is tough and tenacious.  We make our concluding notes in her file and return to readying for the next creation day.  Oddly, despite her labels we find her life to be interesting and her current quests to be, dare I write it, a more organic approach to existence.  This will never be admitted as we can not detour from the established creation functioning but it does make some of us wonder… what if …

I was 46 years old when I begun this blog, female and married with a house full of cats (7). My past is littered with the impact of events that happened when I was a teen. Two loves of my life have been nursing and studying. I just completed my Master of Arts: Media Studies endorsement. My blog will be about the things I think about, that might be better served being written rather than squirreled away in my mind festering. It is the meanderings of my mind as I seek to define myself and my world.

  3. The other day, while I was at work, my cousin stole my apple ipad and tested to see if it can survive a thirty foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation.
My apple ipad is now destroyed and she has 83
views. I know this is completely off topic but I had to share it with someone!
